Hotel Indigo Verona - Grand Hotel des Arts

Our friends and us spent 4 days in the hotel and enjoyed every moment. It’s in great location being 10 minutes walk from the gates to the old city and the arena and a similar distance to the main train station. The staff get mentioned a lot in the reviews and rightfully so in our experience. Everyone, and I do mean everyone was friendly, attentive and helpful- so much so I think it was the best level of all round service I have experienced in a hotel anywhere. We booked suites as we knew we were going to spend a few hours in our room each day and were glad we did. It was very clean with a very large bed and large walk in shower in the bathroom. It overlooked the courtyard and was very quiet. As well as the extra space we had complimentary bottles of mineral water and a free mini bar (mineral water, juice, two sparkling soft drinks, a couple of fruit juices and beer) which was refreshed each day. There was also a nespresso machine as well as tea and hot chocolate facilities. On the first night we ate in the bar off their very limited menu but the food was delicious. Not sure it’s worth pre-booking a taxi from the airport as there was 4 of us and several minibus cabs around. We paid 35 euros including tip as opposed to pre booked price of 55-60 euros.

Very nice hotel located about a 15 minute walk to the main square. Nicely decorated with friendly helpful staff. My room was not large but enough room & a very comfortable king size bed. Room nicely furnished with all necessary amenities. I had a large walk in shower. The TV had a few English channels. The wifi was fast and stable. The buffet breakfast was extensive & delicious with hot & cold dishes & plenty of fruit, cheeses, meats & pastries.
