- Visit to Murano, Burano and Torcello islands
- Exciting glass blowing demonstration
- Serene boat ride between the islands
Venice is made up of countless islands all connected by its unique canals, visiting the islands is perfect to escape the hustle and bustle of Venice. This half day boat trip will take you to three of the islands all with something different to offer.
The first stop is Murano, en route you can see the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, the gardens of St Elena and the Lido. Murano is renowned for its glass blowing and following the movement of all glass factories in Venice to the island in 1291 there is beautiful glass jewellery and ornaments everywhere you turn. Your excursion includes a visit to one of the factories with a demonstration of traditional glass blowing and the chance to buy souvenirs and gifts to take home.
Next stop is the picturesque island of Burano, the island replicates a quaint toy town made up of brightly-coloured fishermen’s houses and a small network of canals. Conclude by docking into the port of Torcello, a somewhat mysterious island, appears barren when you first arrive. The peaceful atmosphere and tiny vineyards provides a tranquil setting for an afternoon stroll. The islands biggest (and only) attraction is Venice’s first cathedral.
