Located near Siena and approximately three and a half miles from the town of Castelnuovo Berardenga, stands the beautiful 11th century hotel, Castel Monastero. All of the rooms in this tranquil hotel are furnished in a traditional Tuscan style overlooking either the piazza, the hotel garden or the surrounding countryside. Guests will find frescoed walls, enormous bathrooms in the guest rooms and swathes of sumptuous Rubelli fabrics throughout the hotel.
The spa at Castel Monastero features exclusive product lines and treatments, and wellness programmes with a particular focus on weightloss, detox and rejuvination. The hotel also boasts the restaurant 'Contrada' and 'La Cantina' located in the XIII century vaulted cellar serving Tuscan specialities. With 16 acres of grounds, three swimming pools (usually open mid May - end September), two indoor pools, one salted and a big Jacuzzi pool, 2 saunas, Hammam and Emotional Showers, a tennis court and bicycles for hire, the Castel Monastero is the ideal place for which to enjoy a relaxing and peaceful holiday.

Facing the medieval piazza where breakfast is served, the elegant and charming Contrada gourmet restaurant serves Tuscan and Italian cuisine interpreted by the resident chef.
