The Ashbee

An incredible hotel. The location, building and views are stunning. The staff are something else!! My wife unfortunately tripped near the hotel on the second of our seven nights, badly twisting her ankle and making it impossible to get up to our room on the second floor. The hotel manager offered us a family suite on the ground floor at no extra cost which was greatly appreciated, but it was the way all the staff went out of their way, every single day, to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible that stood out. In partcular Valentina, Emanuela and Stefano were simply wonderful. Well be coming back soon!!

We are just back from our stay at the Ashbee Hotel in Taormina and we are already missing it. We loved everything about it - our great room, beautiful grounds with stunning views, great breakfasts and most of all wonderful people who work there. We especially want to mention Denise and Bruno who helped us with all our needs including our excursion and transfer booking and our very friendly and helpful barman Stefano. We can't wait to go there again.

We stayed at this delightful hotel for twelve nights from the 2nd August to the 14th August, The hotel is well located just a few minutes walk from the Main Street where all the shops and a lot of the restaurants are located. Th hotel is in a secure location fully gated and away from the mayhem of Taormina, with beautiful views overlooking the bay below. Lots of Pro,s for this property, the staff in particular were superb and became like family whilst we were there, Bruno on the front desk, super efficient and always was a help in providing information we required and provided superb restaurant choices, Bruno your last lot of restaurant recommendations were superb in fact your recommendations rock! To Ementual I don’t think the spelling is correct but you will know who you are, thank you for the excellent service , nothing was too much trouble for this lovely young lady, to all the Breakfast staff I cannot thank you enough, to Pierluigi and the other young lady unfortunately I don’t recollect her name but the service and attention we received were amazing. To all the pool bar staff, I can’t remember all of your names but Stefano your a legend, always knew what we wanted to drink! Only two critisism’s 1) No coffee machine in the room but I’m sure if I asked that would have been resolved, but always unlimited coffee at Breakfast so no biggie. 2) There is only 1 restaurant in the hotel which is Michelin Starred, unfortunately I don’t eat fish so there was not enough choice for us to dine here during our stay, this forced us to eat out every night which was a great experience as we were able to try 12 different restaurants during our stay. Think the hotel might be missing a trick in not offering other evening dining facilities. We knew this when I booked the hotel. These are my only slightly negative points. Overall we has a thoroughly fabulous time at this hotel and you will be not disappointed if you stay here.
