Below the heights of Taormina lies Taormina Mare – the seaside section of the famous medieval town. It’s more laid-back down here, with the beautiful Isola Bella beach offering plenty of opportunities to lounge in the sun, and numerous beach bars on hand for cool drinks. The small island just off the beach is well worth a visit; offering guests the chance to explore a small nature reserve in the grounds of a crumbling villa.
