Embark on a park tour of Villa Pallavicino for a magnificent array of plants, manicured gardens and and wildlife. Originally built by Ruggero Bonghi in 1855, the park began as a humble home for this owner who fell in love with Lake Maggiore and its stunning surroundings. Yet, when the Marquises of Pallavicino bought the home and land in 1862, the park began to acquire extensions, statues and the many embellishments which characterise the park today. Now it is possible to visit the Villa’s 16 hectare park lands to enjoy its open lawns, floral displays and delightful zoo, with over 40 species of animals from all over the world. The park can be enjoyed by all ages and entry to the Villa gardens will also provide access to a restaurant, bar, souvenir shop and children’s play area. Several picnic areas are also available, allowing for a family affair amid these beautiful gardens.
