Established in 1576, the Palazzo dei Rolli is made up of 42 impressive palaces. Previously home to some of the highest Genoese dignitaries in history, the palaces are all unique in architecture and contain a wealth of art to be admired.
Following their restoration in the 1990s, the palaces remain extremely well preserved and elegantly decorated. More recently the site has been accredited UNESCO world heritage site status and the palaces are in continued use, the city’s town hall, banks and small shops are all located in the palaces. A number of them are also open for public viewing - so why not take a guided tour to see the magnificent dwellings up close?
