You'll spend a day surrounded by nature and culture, enjoy a panoramic view of Naples and then reach the haunting ruins of Pompeii, which will take you back to that fateful day in 79 AD when Vesuvius erupted, covering the prosperous Roman city in deadly volcanic ash.
You’ll start the day by visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pompeii where you’ll have a tour of the main areas of Pompeii like Macellum (food market), thermal baths, and the central areas where the wealthy romans would gather for dinner. With the help of the official guide you will learn about the history, customs and traditions and you will gain a glimpse into Roman life after the city was destroyed when Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD.
After enjoying a Neapolitan pizza for lunch, next stop will be the Bay of Naples where you can admire the amazing views that the gulf has to offer. Before heading back to Rome you will have the some time to taste a typical Neapolitan Coffee and walk in the city centre.
