Hotel River Palace

The hotel is located next to a 4G/5G cell antenna farm of approximately 18 antennae. The farm is located on the same structure, a few feet higher, next to the wall the headboard of the bed is against, in the room we attempted to sleep in, the first night. The antennae are, at most, 30' from the bed. I woke up with heart palpitations, a severe migraine, and insomnia for the rest of the night. We had brought a meter; the radiation level was extremely high. To the hotel's credit, it moved us to a room 6 floors down on the opposite side of the hotel, for our second night.The breakfast was good.

Visited in October with my daughter. We had a wonderful stay. Other reviews have mentioned the size of the rooms. This is not unusual in Italy particularly in cities. And we didn’t spend a lot of time in there so it really isn’t a problem. The hotel is clean and the staff are helpful, giving us great restaurant recommendations. The location is perfect. It’s a short walk to all the main sights around the city but far enough away from the busy areas. The bar is very reasonably priced for a city hotel and was perfect for a pre dinner Prosecco. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, starting at 7am which was perfect when you want to hit the tourist spots early. We had a wonderful 3 night stay and would use again.

Pros .Staff was friendly and very responsive immediately to any requests .The breakfast was very good .The lounge was nice and bar service was great .Hotel is in a great location - you can walk to most sites Cons .We recommend that you do not stay in rooms 101-104! All guests have to take an elevator from 0 - 1. Then walk down the hall to the elevator to floors 2 -10. They all walk past these rooms and usually are talking an loud. From 4:00 - 6:00 am they are bringing down luggage to check-out and the halls have tile floors, so it’s very loud. Our sleep was disrupted constantly until 10:00 pm and after 4:00 am. .The hotel has very uncomfortable rooms .There is no restaurant in the hotel - only breakfast between 7:00 - 10:00 am and the bar from 5:00 - 10:00 pm .This hotel is not friendly for single women traveling alone or when it rains (which it did during our visit) .There is no coffee or tea service in rooms, so there was no where to get coffee or tea before 7:00 am unless you want to go next door and buy it! .The hotel has tiny rooms with one chair - for two people? .There is a tiny bathroom and a shower only for small people. Anyone over 5’6” would not be able to use it. .The toilet area was so small that any one who is large would have trouble. .You can only adjust the temperature by calling the desk. .We had to request tissue, an extra chair, extra luggage rack, extra blanket. The staff responded within minutes. .There us no tourism information available in the lobby. .Most hotels today have USB ports. None here and one outlet with two plugs which require converters.
