Opening its doors in 1908, and added as a national Monument in 1994, the Grand Hotel Rimini is a symbol of Art Nouveau style on the coast. The hotel boasts strong links with the famous Italian director, Federico Fellini, who drew inspiration from the hotel after growing up in the city, often peering through the windows to witness the intriguing world within. Located right on the beach overlooking the Adriatic, the hotel is just a 25 minute stroll to the old town of Rimini and minutes from the promenade. Guests can immerse themselves in the rich history of the region and take in the mix of Roman and Renaissance architecture. 

The hotel itself exudes an air of elegance and luxury with its magnificent chandeliers, marble details and classic Italian style. Here guests can relax on the private beach, take a dip in the refreshing pool and recharge at the in-house spa. The hotel also offers a wide choice of activities to keep guests entertained, and is well-positioned to explore the charms of Rimini and beyond. Inspired by the cinematic history of the hotel, Ristorante Otto e Mezzo at La Spiaggia embodies seaside glamour. Serving up a buffet lunch throughout the summer months, full of Italian favourites and modern inventions.

Take some time to enjoy the private beach, just a few metres from the hotel. With 15,000 square metres to spread out on, comfortable loungers and drinks available from the beach bar, you’ll be relaxed in no time.

Enjoy the Italian sunshine by the outdoor pool. With loungers and umbrellas dotted along the terrace, this is the ideal spot for a lazy afternoon. Take a dip in the refreshing water or seek shade under the vines. There is also a relaxing thermal pool inside the spa, and for younger guests there is a dedicated baby pool on the beach.

About the location

Situated in the Emilia-Romagna region, the Grand Hotel Rimini is just minutes from the promenade with its variety of shops and restaurants. A 25 minute walk will take you into the heart of the old town with its interesting mix of Roman and Renaissance architecture. Guests can stroll along the Corso d’Augusto shopping street and visit some of the many historic monuments dotted throughout the city such as the Arco di Augusto, Torre dell’ Orologio and the statue of Julius Caesar.

The hotel is located 90 minutes from Bologna International Airport, and sits next to its own sandy beach with views along the Adriatic coast. The coastal location is perfect for a stroll at sunset along the promenade or through the nearby Parco Federico Fellini, named after the famous Italian filmmaker who was born and grew up in the city.
