O'Parrucchiano’s is a name of renown in the restaurant world, carrying with it some weighty heritage that rivals the best in Italy. With more than 140 years of experience, the restaurant is one of Sorrento’s best-established, but the real clout comes in the form of a world-record – the restaurant is credited with being the first place that cannelloni was served thanks to a past owner’s creative invention. Today, this large tubular pasta is one of the restaurant’s most popular dishes, but there’s plenty more on offer besides, including seafood and locally-inspired desserts.
The setting is almost as remarkable as the restaurant’s achievements – offering more than 600 seats throughout an immense garden complex. Dining is set across many levels and throughout many rooms and terraces, including an expansive conservatory filled with lush foliage, and a garden ‘room’, where guests can dine beneath lemon trees.
