Sentido Michelizia Tropea Resort

The hotel is situated a 15 min fairly easy walk to the centro storico though there is no footpath. There is a regular flow of people walking on that section of road so it feels quite normal after the first time. Our room was a double standard room and this gave us a decent bedroom and a pretty large room on entry that had a bed settee and ceiling fan. There was a really good sized outside seating area. There are lots of different units and we were on the first floor with stairs and a fairly steep walk up to it. Probably, we would go for a sea view room if we went again. It was very hot while we were there and the air conditioning does not get the room very cool but this may be better than average for the area. The pool and bar area were great and breakfast was very good indeed with a very wide range of options. It is self service but the staff are very pleasant and there is a good friendly atmosphere. The evening options for food looked great but we were so spoilt for choice in town(7 excellent and good value meals) that we did not take up that option this time. What made this hotel special were the reception team led by the Front Office Manager, Mariella. Mariella speaks English and her colleague Dominique seemed very fluent when speaking with the German guests. Mariella was really helpful, friendly and efficient and on two occasions got us into town with the shuttle service even though it was not a scheduled time. They all were working incredibly hard with a “can do” attitude and we really appreciated their efforts. Thank you!

This is a beautiful and beautifully kept hotel. The staff is great. The breakfast is bountiful. The pool is just stunning as well. However. Be aware. Their shuttle service is not optimal. You need to be ready to walk to town or the beach (or drive … and try to find parking 😊). Or pay 5€ per person per way. Which I find very expensive for a 5 minute drive. It’s a short 12 minute walk. But….the road has no proper walkway. So be safe. That’s all. I have to be honest though. The WiFi kind of sucks. It comes and goes like the waves of the ocean. Like most European hotels. The air conditioning has challenges 😂. But I’m Canadian. So I like to sleep cold. My daughter loved the temperature in the room. All in all. A great place. Tropea a must visit. The variety of beaches unreal. A five minute walk and you go from a sandy beach to a rock beach. Would I go back. Absolutely!👍🏽.

I recently stayed at Sentido Michelizia Tropea, and exceed my expectations! The location is perfect with easy access to all the beaches and tropea town. My room was always clean and cozy. The staff was incredible welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. Pier Curcuruto the director was extremely a gentleman, he definitely made our stayed much better. I highly recommend Sentido Michelizia Tropea to anyone looking for a delightful stay.
