Day 1

Your journey begins as La Dolce Vita Orient Express departs from Rome Ostiense, embarking on a luxurious and indulgent trip. As night falls, savour the culinary delights of Italian-inspired dishes crafted by three-Michelin-starred Chef, Heinz Beck, using local ingredients. Each dish is a testament to Italy’s rich gastronomic heritage.  

Day 2

Start your second day with a hearty Italian breakfast. Enjoy a morning filled with culinary delights, from freshly brewed espresso to delicate pastries. The train will then arrive in Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its iconic Sassi, ancient cave dwellings carved into the rugged landscape. Explore this remarkable destination on an interesting city tour, diving into its rich history and culture. Lunch is served in a unique cave restaurant, blending traditional flavours with the charm of Matera’s ancient surroundings. End the day with a luxurious Italian aperitivo and Le Grand Soir dinner, accompanied by live music and entertainment.

The Transiberian of Italy
