Guest Story: A Memorable Escape to Forte Village, Sardinia

At Citalia, we pride ourselves on curating exceptional travel experiences, and we are thrilled to share the wonderful feedback from a recent trip to Forte Village in Sardinia, enjoyed by a lovely couple, Mr and Mrs W. Their journey highlights the diverse appeal of this stunning resort, which caters to both families and couples looking for a serene getaway.

From the moment our guests arrived at Forte Village, they were met with warm hospitality. A senior staff member welcomed them, providing a detailed overview of the resort’s layout and amenities before escorting them to their suite. Their luggage was already waiting in their room, setting the tone for an impeccable stay.

Mr and Mrs W stayed in a Waterfront Suite, in one of six blocks overlooking the beautiful beach. The spacious suite offered breathtaking ocean views, a huge bed, two desks with chairs, and a separate dressing room. This luxurious accommodation provided the perfect retreat for relaxation and comfort.

Forte Village offers a fantastic array of swimming pools, some adorned with waterfalls, and a pristine beach perfect for swimming. During their visit in June, the sea was pleasantly warm, and the beach’s gentle slope and smooth sand made it easy to enter the water.

One of the standout experiences for our guests was discovering the Thalassotherapy pools. Initially unfamiliar with this treatment, they quickly became enthusiasts, visiting the pools three times during their five-day stay. The relaxing treatments were particularly beneficial for Mrs W, who found significant improvement in her skin.

Dining at Forte Village was a highlight of their trip. Each morning, they enjoyed breakfast at the Cavalieri restaurant, which offered an extensive buffet catering well to vegetarians. The omelette station, with its variety of fillings, allowed them to start their day with a personalised meal. They dined twice at Cavalieri for dinner and also had wonderful meals at the Sardinian Restaurant, Ristorante Sardo, and the Belvedere. Their favourite was Ristorante Sardo, where the chefs prepared delicious vegetarian meals that left a lasting impression.

While the resort offers plenty to keep guests entertained, Mr and Mrs W also ventured outside to explore the local area. They enjoyed a delightful walk along the beautiful beach and, before arriving at Forte Village, spent two nights in Cagliari.

They highly recommend visiting the Parco Naturale Molentargius Saline, a short taxi ride from Cagliari, where an array of flamingos can be seen. Renting bikes to explore the park and visit Poetto Beach was a fantastic experience. They also suggest a guided walk of Cagliari to fully appreciate the city’s charm.

Cagliari is about a 40-minute taxi ride from Forte Village. While public transport is available, it’s not the most convenient option. At Citalia, we organised the couple a private transfer so they could enjoy a seamless travel experience.

Their week in Sardinia was a brilliant mix of relaxation and adventure. For those seeking more excitement, Forte Village offers activities like scuba diving, football, and go-karting. However, for Mr and Mrs W, the combination of lovely food and wine, a superb beach, Sardinian hospitality, and plenty of downtime was just perfect. They definitely enjoyed spending two nights in the city followed by five nights relaxing by the beach - the ideal multi-destination escape.
