San Fruttuoso, Liguria

Tucked away between Camogli and Portofino, San Fruttuoso is a hidden gem that feels like a secret paradise. Accessible only by boat or a scenic hike, this secluded beach is surrounded by lush greenery and the medieval Abbey of San Fruttuoso. The pebbly shore and crystal-clear waters create a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. Just offshore, located around 10 feet underwater, you’ll find the Christ of the Abyss statue, which can be seen either by scuba diving or snorkelling.

La Pelosa, Sardinia

With its powdery white sand, shallow turquoise waters and views of the ancient Torre della Pelosa tower, La Pelosa beach feels like a tropical paradise. The calm waters are perfect for swimming and snorkelling, while the soft sand is perfect for sunseekers. To preserve its natural beauty, access to the beach is limited, so arriving early is key.

Rabbit Beach, Sicily

Rabbit Beach, located on the island of Lampedusa, is often compared to a Caribbean escape – and for good reason. With its powder white sand, sparkling turquoise waters and dramatic rocky cliffs, it’s a true Mediterranean paradise. It is also one of the few Italian beaches where loggerhead turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. If you’re lucky, you might even get a chance to see the baby hatchlings make their first journey to sea!
